Part 1: "Behold! It Is Written!"

I have known the enigmatic Mr. Craft for over 30 years now and over that time I have seen an incredible amount of crazy shit pour out from that mysterious, fevered mind of his. This collection, I believe, is further proof that an enigmatic artistic genius silently walks among us, ready to haunt our nightmares at any time. You have been warned.

A couple of years ago, during one of his infrequent trips back to his humble origins, he showed me what at first I believed was just another of his many jam-packed, ink-soaked sketchbooks. I was surprised to find that it was actually a voluminous, hardbound Watchtower tract from 1963 that he had just begun devoutly "scribbling" in. My first thought while thumbing through was "Shit!… this is so cool, why the hell didn't I think of it!", to "There's gotta be a way for you to make money with this!" Most of that advice involved chopping up the book and selling individual pages. Luckily, for ME, in the end he disregarded all my greedy, capitalist advice, 'cuz, lo & behold, under the xmas tree this year was that entire completed book! I unwrapped it and immediately shit my pants.

After quickly cleaning up, I began (carefully) leafing through this fragile, voluminous work and realized that that keeping this to myself would be very selfish and that I MUST share it all with the world. I uploaded a few pages to Instagram and quickly received  a lot of positive replies. I figured this blog format might be a better way to present it in its entirety, as the darn thing weighs in at around 700+ pages! I will upload more as time permits, but this is gonna take a while to complete! (This first batch of images are the same ones that were seen on Instagram… be patient! New images are on their way and will be uploaded asap!)

So, in the spirit of Mr. Craft's enclosed note… "Behold it is written - and it makes little sense", here is the NIMROD project. Enjoy. - dc roberts 2015
